In Uttar Pradesh, the government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has come forward to save the small businessmen of the state from the ravages of the Korana virus epidemic. The government is giving financial help to businessmen to start their new business or to carry forward the existing business. The government will give an assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the businessmen for marketing their products. Under Uttar Pradesh's New Startup Policy 2020, marketing assistance up to Rs 5 lakh will be provided to micro, small and medium enterprises. Alok Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Electronics and Information Technology, informed that the new Startup Policy 2020 will be implemented soon, in which startups and incubation centers in Uttar Pradesh will be given a big boost. Under the new policy, marketing assistance up to Rs 5 lakh will be given for MSMEs.
According to Kumar, the new startup policy will create direct employment opportunities for 50,000 people. It is expected to provide indirect employment to one lakh people. According to a report, the State Department of Electronics and Information Technology is executing the scheme in collaboration with Small Industries Development Bank of India to provide financial assistance to startups and MSMEs. According to the Startup Policy 2020, MSME businessmen will have to submit an online application at the District Industries Center. The Industries Center will have to process these applications within 72 hours. The central government has also announced many schemes and financial help to promote the MSME sector. Along with subsidy, loans are also being made available to the MSME sector at affordable rates.
