Start-ups are more beneficial than government jobs, Union Minister gave advice to youth
Union Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh said in Jammu on Tuesday that many self-employed start-ups are more profitable and lucrative than government jobs, the only need is to change your mindset. He said that many youths prefer small government jobs at nominal salaries, while taking the initiative of self-employment with start ups can yield many times compared to it from the very beginning.
Singh was addressing agri start-ups, young entrepreneurs and farmers after inaugurating a day-long awareness and training program at the Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM) under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). The program was organized under Aroma Mission Phase-II. According to the statement, Singh was told by a young entrepreneur that by using modern technology in farming, he has started earning Rs 3 lakh annually since inception.
He is earning this income from only one hectare of land. At the same time, two B-Tech engineers said that with a similar start-up initiative, they doubled their earnings in a short span of five months. The Minister said on this that it is in a way a message for those confused youth who keep trying for daily wage job so that they are not able to get more than Rs. Not only for this but also earning good money for others.
