Microsoft will help startups to grow their business, these 11 will get the first chance


Microsoft India on Tuesday announced that it has tied up with Invest India to promote tech startups in India. To begin with, the company has onboarded 11 startups to Microsoft for its startup program from sectors such as agriculture, defence/security, IT/ITES, e-mobility, waste management and financial services. They will be able to use Microsoft technology, including Azure, GitHub and M365, to allow them to quickly get their businesses up and running, the company said in a statement.

The 11 startups will focus on leveraging technology and business support, including Azure Credit, and driving their growth. Agni Mission Invest India helps startups become venture ready. Selected startups will also get individual technical sessions, content and mentorship.

The collaboration between Microsoft and Invest India reaffirms our commitment to the startup ecosystem in the country, said Emily Rich, Director of Startups, APAC, Assisting Microsoft. Combining the reach of Invest India's Agni Mission with Microsoft's technical and business resources for startups, Rich said, this is an exciting opportunity for startups to sharpen their aspirations for enterprise readiness. In addition, they will be able to leverage Microsoft's Azure Marketplace, enterprise sales team and rapidly growing partner ecosystem to develop and execute their go-to-market strategies, Microsoft said.
